Terrible first (and last) impression. My wife set me up with an appointment for a quick review to be sure that no moles or spots were a concern. Since this was my first appointment, she specifically requested that I be seen by the Doctor, not by an assistant. She scheduled herself for the same purpose at the same time, so we could be seen together and kill two birds with one stone. Appointment was for 12 PM, so that I wouldn't miss too much work. We arrived promptly at 11:50 and filled out our paperwork. Note: Parking lot is tiny (maybe 8-10 spots), but I was lucky to get the last spot. Pity the next in line. We waited until 12:30 in the waiting room (yes, 30 minutes), then we were pleased to be called into an exam room. The assistant began taking down more info, right before another assistant burst the door open with no warning (Am I asking too much for a knock when we're in for full body exams?) and asked for a chat in the hallway. The first gave us gowns and told us to disrobe and wait. The two left, and we waited. And waited. at 12:50 two different assistants came in and started asking questions. My wife told her that we had requested the doctor specifically, so the assistant shut her book and said that we would need to wait. My wife asked when the doc would arrive, and the girl smiled at us and said "It's up to her..." and shut the door. At 1:10, yes, 70 minutes after arrival for my appointment, I told my wife that I was leaving. I was livid. I had missed a 1:00 appointment with one of MY customers, and she had missed a scheduled 1:00 conference call. She pleaded with me to stay 5 more minutes. I agreed and stared a burning dagger into my watch for 5 more gut wrenching, blood pressure skyrocketing minutes. When I announced that had now racked up 75 minutes of sitting and waiting, half naked, for the great Dr. McCormack, we both stood up, dressed, and left the room. At the front desk, we demanded our $70 copay back ($35 per person). As we waited for them to reverse the card transaction, my wife explained to the receptionists what a major disappointment the experience was, and that they needed to cut back on the double bookings. The receptionist apologized, and agreed with the overbooking, but her answer was "We only do what the Doctor tells us to do." She handed us the refund slip, and I checked my watch: 1:30.

Bottom line - My opinion is that if you're retired and need to catch up on a 1000 page novel, have no hobbies or obligations, and don't mind dealing with an indifferent staff and a Doctor more focused on billing than on customer service, then this is a fantastic choice for you. If you're a professional, an active person, or if you have an ounce of respect for your own time, then stay far away from McCormack. I spent an hour and a half of my life in her office and never actually met or saw her. As a business owner and fanatic about customer service, I take it very very personally when another business doesn't meet the level of customer service that I deliver day in and day out. Whether it's a sandwich shop, a gas station, a cable company, or in this case a dermatologist, I expect that anyone happy to take my money should treat me with a higher level of respect than I received from the doctor or the staff.

I only see the NP Kim and she is wonderful. Yes the office is busy but as my sister is a NP, I see how doctors overuse them to the point of many many hours of appointments each day. Kim is always attentive and I always feel comfortable with her. Seems now Kim has taken a leave of absence and now have to wait a long time for appointment.
